“Tarkka” is the Finnish word for “exact”, and this embodies our passion for precision machine design. We are a husband and wife engineering team with over a decade of combined experience developing high-performance products for the aerospace and energy fields.

Through our YouTube channel, we break down complex engineering topics into entertaining and informative videos. We hope to democratize the access to mechanical engineering knowledge via the internet in the same way that others have made electrical and software engineering approachable. Tarkka is a resident at the Autodesk Technology Center in Boston, MA, a 34,000-square-foot research and development facility that supports startups and researchers by supplying them with a fully-equipped machine shop and prototyping studio, as well as advanced design and manufacturing software.
